About the event
Biker Church of the Heartland has been hosting The Hemi Ride for injured motorcycles riders since 2007. It started out as a ride to help a personal friend of one of our pastors that was injured in a motorcycle accident but we quickly realized there was an ongoing need and the Hemi Ride was born.
In 2014 tragedy struck our Biker Church Family. Pastor Albert Ganser was riding his motorcycle to work in the morning when a car turned directly into his path and he was hit head on. He suffered horrible injuries and was in the hospital for months recovering. That same day, another Biker Church of the Heartland Pastor, Art Heminger, went up to the hospital to see Pastor Al and on his way home on his motorcycle he was struck and killed. Since that year the ride has been the Hemi Memorial Ride.
Since 2007 we have helped well over 150 families with financial help when they needed it most. Very often when a motorcyclist is injured they are the sole provider for their household and they struggle to put food in the fridge and pay the mortgage while they are waiting for insurance to settle. That is where the Hemi Ride Injured Biker Fund can help. Your donation goes directly to these families and we are proud to say that every dollar donated goes to help families , all of the ride costs are covered by donations.
